Yesterday I took Emmaline on a special mommy daughter date. We had lunch at Cuttler's and then rode our bikes on the legacy trail. It was so pretty. We were loving it until I had a minor catastrophe. I needed to GO. Fortunately Em's piano teacher lives by the trail. Unfortunately she wasn't home, her husband was. I got over my embarrassment and he was nice enough to let me use their facilities.
I brought my camera but forgot to take a picture of us biking on the trail. Instead I'm posting a picture of Emma when she was about 5 or 6. This is the age my brain seems to have frozen her at. It is hard for me to believe that she is not this little girl anymore. She is 10 and 1/2! Emmaline is making me realize that my kids childhood is going by so fast and I better be enjoying it while it lasts. This morning she was getting ready for church by herself, the rest of us were in bed. I could hear her singing that Dixie Chicks song Ready to Run. Her voice sounded so pretty, I didn't know she could sing like that. She is NOT this little girl anymore.
