sometimes it's better not to ask permission

If they would have asked if they could clean out the coop on Sunday in their Sunday dresses I would have said no way! But since they didn't ask and I didn't know till they were well underway, it turned out to be a great way to productively spend a loooong Sunday afternoon. They were happy and getting along and letting me cook dinner. Watch and enjoy :D
