I'm being a very good girl today. I've read and prayed, done yoga and vocal exercises. I have been tending my friends kids. I owe them. I've had 3 extra 3 year old's and 1 extra one year old plus my 2 four year old's. They have all played really well together. I even cleaned up the mud room AND cleaned out the mud room closet and swept out the garage while they played outside. My trunk is full of stuff for the D.I. (charity) I should unpack my husbands 2 bags from his last 2 trips. Nate spoils me and makes dinner for the family and so many extra perks but I always unpack his bags when we get home from trips. I don't like unpacking for him but it's the least I can do. Now my house just became empty, my kids are now playing at my friends houses. Ahhhhhhhhh I feel like laying on my bed and watching Oprah. Maybe I will.
But first I'll unpack for Nate. That's my puppy dog Tabitha. Isn't she sweet.
How about a few more pictures
How do you like Sarah's outfit? She is still wearing her inside out turtle neck with her lightning McQueen jammy bottoms. (who knows why she has them all hiked up) Gwenyth has changed her outfit 2 or 3 times and is now wearing dance clothes.
I never would have thought I'd have children that ran around the neighborhood looking like little orphans but I do. I try to convince them to wear the cute little matching outfits I buy them but they have very strong will's with very opinionated opinion's.
Do you want to see my personal recording studio?
I never thought I 'd be dreaming of recording in a real recording studio. Seems like a pretty far fetched idea today. Seems like I might be letting myself get my hopes up a bit too high.
Have you seen Amelia? You know that movie about Amelia Earhart. I think it's like the last line of the movie where she says "What do dreams know of boundaries?" That's how I feel about dreams. It is so fun to daydream and imagine up great stories for my life. If you haven't tried it lately you should. It always puts me in a good mood and makes me smile. Even if they don't come true it is so fun to dream them up. I do hope I don't dream so big that I run out of fuel over the ocean and crash and die.
Well I better get back to work, I'll unpack for Nate while watching Oprah. Win, win.
One more thing about dreams.............................
Before I met my husband at age 23 I had never been in love. I had dated plenty of boys but I had never been in love. Flirty fun?..........Yes. In the love?............... No.
I used to dream about this handsome man that was just right for me. Not perfect, but perfect for me. I even wrote down a list of the characteristics and qualities I'd want in my "perfect for me" man.
Now I have Nate. He is all those qualities on my list and way more. Ever since Nate fell in love with me I have been a strong believer in the possibility of dreams coming true...........thanks honey.
I'll have to thank him in person since he doesn't read my blog.
P.S.
Aunt LeeAnn and Uncle Dale, if you are reading this will you leave me a comment so my blog doesn't look so lonely? Lee, get a gmail account, it's not hard. :) You're my relatives so I feel like I can ask you for this favor. (Taylor Z, I'm still waiting for your promised comment)
Uncle Dale, do you remember buying me slurpies and hoppytahs (those round things you play hop scotch with) from 7/11 when I was little? I do. Thanks again for that :)
before you take your things to the DI if you have any summer clothes I can take to Peru with me for the village I will be working in could you set them aside for me? Also I LOVE The picture of you and the guitar! Glad you are feeling better!
ReplyDeleteI love your recording studio.......that is where I hide from my kids!
ReplyDeleteWe should have you come sing in Primary some time. :)
Jenny, I will for sure set aside summer clothes for you, and thanks for the compliment :)
ReplyDeleteKristy, this is where I hide from my kids too!!! It's the most peaceful room in the house.
Singing in primary would be very fun.
Kris, you look like such a rock star in that picture in your bathroom. Love it! I clicked it to make it big and noticed your rock star nail polish too. I love you and am happy you are developing your talents!
ReplyDeleteI have to tell you that I have read all of your post but just hate to write comments. I have loved reading them and finding out more about my sweet sister. I have been meaning to call you and tell you thanks. They are helping me with some decisions in my life that I am just having to go on faith to make them. I have to trust the Lord that He knows what He is doing with my life and it is scary. I am so proud of you and I can't wait to hear you sing. Hey maybe you can come to Colorado and sing at a open mic here. I love you and miss you and wish we lived closer.
ReplyDeletelove Ali
ps.just because people don't make comments doesn't mean they aren't following you!
Thanks for the lovely comments my friends. Sorry to be so needy but my heavens putting my heart out there is a little unnerving. Ali, I can't wait to hear what Heavenly Father is doing in your life...............I hope another baby ;) My kids watch the family video you made at least 5 times a day. They show it to all their friends and their friends say, "you have the funnest family" I asked Gwenny why she loves that movie so much and she said "because it's the best!" I asked why else? "because I love Affy!" She misses Afton.
ReplyDeleteKristen,
ReplyDeleteI do remember taking you and Melissa to 7-11. Isn't it funny how such a silly thing so many years ago sticks out in our minds. I guess it goes to show that little things we do affects other peoples lives, either positive or negative.
Regarding your blog and things that we end up doing in our lives. I find it interesting that we do things in our lives that we never thought we could or would do. Usually it is scary but in the end we are better people because of it...lemonade out of lemons!!
Love you!!
